New South Wales
The First State
New South Wales (NSW) is one of Australia’s leading hubs for international education and skilled migration, linking study pathways, state nomination programs, and invitation rounds within a structured framework. It offers international students access to recognised universities and vocational education providers across Sydney, the state capital of New South Wales, and regional centres throughout the state. These options align with labour market needs and post-study opportunities across Australia.
For skilled migrants, the NSW Skilled Nominated Program (190 and 491) provides competitive nomination based on occupation demand, experience, English ability, and state workforce priorities. NSW invitation rounds are conducted periodically to select eligible candidates based on points, occupation ceilings, and migration planning needs.

We at Newsted acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and live, and pay our respects to Elders past and present. We extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
